our God, the Lord is one.
Matthew 3:13-17 Then Jesus came from
Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John. But John tried
to deter him, saying, “I need to be baptized by you, and do
you come to me?” Jesus replied, “Let it be so now; it is
proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness.” Then
John consented. As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out
of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the
Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. And
a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with
him I am well pleased.”
Matthew 28:18-20 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep.
My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.
I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one
will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them
to me, is greater than all[a]; no one can snatch them out of
my Father’s hand.
John 14:1-6 “Do not let your hearts be
troubled. You believe in God[a]; believe also in me. My
Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I
have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for
you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back
and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.
You know the way to the place where I am going.” Thomas said
to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can
we know the way?” Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth
and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

1 Corinthians 2:14 The person without the
Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of
God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them
because they are discerned only through the Spirit.

know that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says,

are being saved it is the power of God.

Matthew 3:13-17 Then Jesus came from

John 3:1-15 Now there was a Pharisee, a man
named Nicodemus who was a member of the Jewish ruling council.
He came to Jesus at night and said, “Rabbi, we know that you
are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform
the signs you are doing if God were not with him.” Jesus
replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of
God unless they are born again.” “How can someone be born when
they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a
second time into their mother’s womb to be born!” Jesus
answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom
of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh
gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.
You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born
again.’ The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its
sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is
going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.” “How can
this be?” Nicodemus asked. “You are Israel’s teacher,” said
Jesus, “and do you not understand these things? Very truly I
tell you, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we
have seen, but still you people do not accept our testimony. I
have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe;
how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things? No
one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from
heaven—the Son of Man. Just as Moses lifted up the snake in
the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that
everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.”

1 Corinthians 11:23-26 For I received from
the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the
night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given
thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for
you; do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, after
supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant
in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of
me.” For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you
proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
1 Corinthians 10:16 Is not the cup of
thanksgiving for which we give thanks a participation in the

been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same
way you have seen him go into heaven.”

in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his
glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before him,
and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd
separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on
his right and the goats on his left. “Then the King will say
to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my
Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you
since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave
me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something
to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed
clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after
me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ “Then the
righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry
and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When
did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing
clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison
and go to visit you?’ “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you,
whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and
sisters of mine, you did for me.’
1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 Brothers and sisters,
we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in
death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who
have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again,
and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who
have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord’s word, we
tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the
coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have
fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from
heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel
and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will
rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left
will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the
Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.
